Appellant was convicted for conspiracy with the intent to commit the offense of aggravated delivery of cocaine of over 400 grams. See Tex. Pen. Code Ann. § 15.02 (Vernon 1974) and 1983 Tex. Gen. Law ch. 268, § 3, at 698 [Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. art. 4476-15, § 4.03(c) (Texas Controlled Substances Act) since repealed]. After the jurys verdict, the trial court assessed punishment at twenty (20) years confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections.
